Phew. This drawing was quite a daring move for me. First of all, it was my very first major pen/ink drawing ever. The only other pen stuff I've done is just minor sketches that I forgot about soon after I drew them. Not to mention the fact that the pen I used was intended for writing, not drawing. Second, this is also one of my first times working with surrealism. Again, drawing this was pretty daring on my part. But it was required, since it is a school project. My teacher was inspired by the incredible work of :icongabrielmoreno: (Gabriel Moreno) and we were assigned to undulate a sense of flow-y movement using a picture of ourselves (yes, that is me, but my hair is spiky in real life) and something from nature to create a narrative. So, otters were what I came up with. Otters are known to be playful and curious, but typically I put on a gloomy expression, so I wanted to show that even though I look unemotional most of the time, I can be playful inside. :aww: I used a photo of me as a reference for my face, and I can't find the reference for the otters.....
~~~~~
Time: Many hours over the span of a few days
Tools: a bic ballpoint pen.... :/
Medium: ink
Techniques: Crosshatching, undulation
HEY!!! MY FRIEND'S DRAWING IS ALSO UP; IT WAS FOR THE SAME EXACT PROJECT ASSIGNED IN SCHOOL. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CHECK IT OUT:
~~~~~
As with all of my drawings, please keep in mind that I'm only 15 before you look for perfection. I don't mind constructive criticism, but please don't go overboard. Thanks!! :)

<acronym title="Incredibly well drawn for someone your age The otter’s texture reminds me of human hair instead of actual fur, and I like the style you added to them. I like how the boy’s shirt blends in with the otters and how he has the same hair texture as the otters. I can tell that you took your time with your work and pot tons of effort into creating it. I haven’t seen a style like this before, and I want to see more of it. Continue with this style, and continue your artwork, because it’s amazing for a fifteen year old.">:trophy:<b>Comment:</b></acronym>

I don't know why that didn't work, but let's try this instead

Vision - 5 Stars
Originality - 4 Stars
Technique - 4.5 Stars
Impact - 5 Stars

((Such wonderful art skills! I would have no patience to do this. Anyways, the ink lines are so perfect! I had to do a project like this once, and I haven't gotten the marks back yet, but yours is much better than mine. The way you shaded with the faces of the person and the otters is so smooth that it doesn't look like ink at all!))
